**About the role**
As Research Associate you will be primarily responsible for the Production and Quality Control of all Kit Components used in ELISA and _SureFire_ immunoassay technologies at TGR BioSciences/Abcam in accordance with GLP. This position reports directly to the Production and Quality Managers (both ELISA and _SureFire_). In addition, the position requires liaison with:
- Manufacturing Staff
- Purchasing Staff
- R&D Staff
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Prepare kit components for ELISA and _SureFire_ immunoassay platforms as directed.
- Perform QC experiments on assay kit components as directed in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Culturing of mammalian cell lines to support the cell biology related aspects of TGR’s core business.
- Perform tasks in accordance with current approved procedures.
- Assist with the update of production and quality control procedures, as required.
- Assist with training of new staff, as required.
- Perform general lab tasks such as lab stocking and cleaning.
- Regular attendance and input with Quality Lab Meetings.
- Maintain lab as a clean and safe environment to company OH&S standards.
**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- Tertiary Qualifications (to Bachelor level) in Science or Biotechnology with Honours preferable.
- Team oriented worker who demonstrates a high level of care with the quality of their work.
- Sound written and oral communication skills.
- Sound understanding of immunoassay analytical techniques.
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- High analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- High level of flexibility and tolerance.
