You’ll be able to work close to home in a dynamic setting featuring cafes and retail options set amongst heritage buildings and open green spaces. **The Opportunity** Within the City Delivery portfolio, you will be joining the Engineering and Asset Services unit and reporting to the manager. You will provide functional leadership and manage the activities of Traffic and Transport team in delivering traffic management services for Melton City Council ensuring traffic, road safety and transport management issues throughout the municipality are addressed in a professional, timely and accurate manner. You will ensure these services are provided within budget and comply with relevant statutory obligations, regulations, codes, guidelines and Council policies. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead and coordinate the Traffic and Transport Team. - Investigate customer requests and develop and implement solutions in accordance with industry best practice, Council policy and budgetary requirements. - Coordinate Traffic and Transport investigations, prepare recommendations and reports for Executive and Council consideration. - Liaise with Government departments including Vic Roads, Transport for Victoria, Public Transport Victoria, Emergency Services, Police and other statutory authorities and organisations in relation to traffic and transportation matters.
