The Role

You’ll be a hands-on operator with strong stainless experience who can operate a 6 kW fibre laser, handle all stainless steel sheet work, and have a strong and accurate CAD drawing experience. Experience with a CNC 320-tonne press brake is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a 6 kW fibre laser to cut stainless steel sheet to specification
- Load/unload materials and products safely using a forklift
- Interpret drawings and produce/modify CAD files (DXF/DWG) for laser cutting and fabrication
- Carry out basic fabriaction tasks (prepping and de-burring items cut on the laser)
- (Advantageous) Program, set and operate a CNC 320-tonne press brake
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet tolerances and finish requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow WHS procedures and company policies
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines

What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience is a must in stainless steel fabrication and laser operation
- CAD capability is essential (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight or similar)
- Experience with nesting/CAM software for laser cutting (highly regarded)
- (preferred) Hands-on experience with a CNC press brake—setup, tooling selection, bending sequences
- Valid forklift licence (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Strong attention to detail, reading/understanding technical drawings and tolerances
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or in a small team
- Full Australian working rights

What We Offer
- Full-time employment starting at $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)
