Work under the direction of the Director, providing tailored assistance to students with various learning needs.
- Provide individual and small group tutoring support to students with learning difficulties in literacy and numeracy using evidence based programs.
- Enhance their learning and development through in person and online sessions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual or small group tutoring and helping students with building literacy and numeracy skills.
- Assist in assessing student strengths and areas of concern to draw up a comprehensive plan that outlines all the learning outcomes.
- Assess progress, provide feedback, and monitor student performance.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement learning plans and support strategies for students.
- Communicate with students, teachers, and parents/carers to provide updates on progress and ensure effective support.
- Organize and prepare resources for tutoring sessions.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and communication.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- To communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents/carers, building rapport and fostering positive relationships.
- To organize and manage time effectively, plan tutoring sessions, and prepare resources.
- To adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- To identify and address learning difficulties and develop effective support strategies.
- To be empathetic towards managing students' behaviour.
- To deliver sessions through online platforms such as Google classroom is desirable but not essential.
- To assist with social media engagement and presence.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Freelance

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Learning Support: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
