Laundry Assistant

We are seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our team under the direction of the Director of Care to provide care and assistance to residents in regards to all laundry requirements. You will possess an understanding of the needs of older people, good time management and communication skills, and a proven ability to work within a team and independently.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other têxtile items.
- Removing stains from items.
- Minor sewing duties.
- Keeping an inventory of laundry goods.
- Reporting maintenance and repair issues.
- Ensuring laundry facilities remain clean.
- Maintain a clean and tidy personal environment for the resident

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum Cert III Aged Care desired
- Current First Aid Level II
- Previous experience in aged care laundry services is an advantage
- Friendly, caring and respectful attitude towards residents and relatives
- An understanding of accreditation standards and requirements for residential aged care
