**Description**:
Ciaron Maher Racing is seeking highly motivated and capable Barn Foreperson to join our Sydney team. It's a **full-time** position and available immediately.

The salary for advertised position will be **above award rates** but determined by prior experience and suitability to the role. Relevant practical experience at another training stable or in racing generally, either in Australia or elsewhere in the world would be advantageous but not essential, consideration will be given to all applicants who have relevant industry experience.

**Accommodation** available 350m from the barn, close to Warwick Farm Train Station.

**Essential Skills**:
All applicants must have a minimum of 3-years full time professional experience in the role, or at least 2 years full time highly relevant experience.

In addition, the following will be required:

- Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing
- Proven ability to manage a team of staff
- Ability to check horses for injuries and report back to the trainer
- Knowledge of equine treatments and medications
- Knowledge of racehorse training and gear
- Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information
- Basic computer skills
- Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses
- Proven as reliable workers, with excellent horsemanship skills

Must hold or be willing to obtain a Racing NSW Forepersons Licence.
