**The opportunity**:
As a Metering Specialist at Powerlink, you will ensure our metering installations comply with the National Electricity Rules (NER) and AEMO Metrology Procedures. You will collaborate with customers, internal teams, and AEMO to set up new metering arrangements, review and clear installations, and maintain accurate records in AEMO’s Market and Settlements System (MSATS). This role is key in keeping our operations smooth and compliant, making a real impact every day.

**Additionally, you will;**
- Ensure compliance of metering installations with NER and AEMO Procedures
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and AEMO for new metering installations
- Review and provide clearance for new or repaired metering installations
- Maintain accurate records in AEMO’s MSATS
- Monitor and advise on Rules Change activities affecting metering installations
- Audit metering installations to maintain Metering Provider accreditation
- Analyse regulatory changes and recommend suitable actions

**The people you'll join**:
Located in our Virginia office, you will be a key member of the Operational Engineering division, working within a supportive team reporting to the Principal Engineer, Asset Risk & Compliance.

**What you'll bring**:

- Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with stakeholders, customers, and contractors. Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and reporting metering activities is crucial. Additionally, you should have project management and organisational skills to plan, prioritise, and coordinate metering tasks and projects.

Proficiency in metering software, tools, and systems, and the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes, is also required.
