**Why this role matters**

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of student tenancy at the Education First Youth Foyer at Holmesglen Institute Glen Waverley. The transitions worker will also act as a primary contact for coordination and implementation of transition plans for students pre and post the Foyer program whilst building and maintaining relationships with local real estate agents (and other services) that can offer post-Foyer support if needed.

**_ Key responsibilities:_**
- Support the provision of safe, high-quality accommodation for young people, including managing student dynamics and complex needs.
- Develop, build and engage with networks and stakeholders such as: Private Rental Access Programs, Real Estate, Finance, Brokerage Options, and other services that lead to improved housing outcomes for young people.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to, including the complaints handling procedures and methods for responding to critical incidents.
- Support the management of the day-to-day operations of the Foyer to ensure annual operating plans and key performance indicators are achieved.

**What we're looking for**

We are currently seeking a skilled & passionate individual, someone committed to working with young people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness on their journey out of homelessness.
- Tertiary qualifications in community services or a related discipline preferred.
- A thorough understanding of housing, homelessness and transitional pathways for young people exiting support services
- Experience with the Victorian Residential Tenancies Act and VCAT is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in building positive relationships and communicating effectively with internal and external contacts with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Must have a current, full drivers' licence
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness
