**Our Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated HR generalist to join our People & Culture team. Our team is a high performing and collaborative group that delivers exceptional service for our people, through the delivery of contemporary and best practice people services.
As the P&C Adviser you will report to the People, Culture & Development Director, and provide generalist P&C support for the team and key stakeholders, together with taking responsibility for business partnering with a practice group portfolio.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
This position is a true P&C generalist role which focuses on managing all aspects of P&C including recruitment, performance management, employee relations issues, onboarding and probation, employee departures, health and wellbeing, graduate and vacation clerk placements.
You will have responsibility for:
- Providing HR advisory support for allocated teams to manage key HR processes including recruitment, performance management, employee issues, onboarding and probation, employee departures, health and wellbeing, graduate and vacation clerk placements.
- Providing support to the P&C Director, Partners and other Leaders to manage complex employee relations issues.
- Supporting and leading key P&C projects.
- Conducting reviews of P&C policies and guidelines.
- Providing P&C advice and support for Partners and employees, including policy guidance and interpretation, and managing employee issues.
- Responding to and managing health and safety issues and incidents.
- Maintaining employee files and documentation in accordance with legislative and confidentiality requirements.
- Managing employee changes and requests through HRIS.
- Providing payroll advisory support and managing updates to payroll processes through the HRIS and payroll platforms.
- Assisting in monitoring and ensuring legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices.
- Maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge and technical skills by keeping up to date with new developments and relevant trends.
- Other duties to support the people function and team as required.
We are looking for someone who is driven, curious and has a passion for generalist HR. Ideally you will be an experienced adviser with at least 8 years’ experience in a similar role and tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline. Experience in legal or other professional services environments is an advantage.
You will be a team player and can collaborate with all levels of seniority. The role will require you to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple stakeholders and often competing priorities. It is essential that you can develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
With nearly 300 people across our offices in Brisbane and Perth, this role is an excellent opportunity to further develop your HR career while receiving coaching and guidance from more senior members of the People & Culture team.
