**Modern Work Technology Specialist’s (TS) is a Pre-Sales role **where your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging our Modern Work solutions including Microsoft 365 and Surface. TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for salespeople to further pursue. As a TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 suite, Teams, Surface and OEM Meeting/Calling devices sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies.

**The purpose of this role**
- Scale Customer Engagements - Proactively owns winning the technical decision of the customer. Leverages technical sales strategy and technical expertise to address customer digital transformation and align technology to customer business needs.
- Scale Through Partners - Engages in partner sell-with scenarios by contributing to the facilitation of technical engagements and partnering with colleagues to manage the sales process.
- Build Strategy - Influences competitive strategy leveraging partner and internal teams; Acts as the voice of the customer by driving new feedback, blockers, insights, resource items across communities to support customer’s business outcomes and opportunities to promote usage.
- Solution Design & Proof - Identifies and applies existing demonstration assets. Leverages partner/customer teams as needed to prove capabilities and integration into customer environment in alignment with Microsoft standards.
- Technical Leadership - As role model, shares ideas, insight, and strategic-technical input with internal and external communities using knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions and their context in the competitive landscape.
