**About the Role**

As an engineering student you would begin to learn your craft alongside and under the guidance of BG&E’s engineering team, assisting project teams with a variety of tasks including the development of documentation, reports, and engineering calculations.

You’ll likely have opportunities to
- Work with other engineering disciplines and participate in interdisciplinary workshops.
- Get involved with construction support including response to RFIs.
- Accompany engineers for site inspections.
- Learn how to support project teams with analysis, design, asset management, and reporting.
- Learn how to ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.

**About You**

To succeed in this position, you'll have:

- Progressed at least halfway into your Civil/Structural Engineering Degree and with an excellent academic record.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools, experience using AutoCAD or structural modelling tools beneficial.
- A strong desire to learn and solve problems.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work in a full-time capacity with us throughout much of December, January and February in alignment with university dates and our annual Christmas shutdown.
