Not to mention the birthday and employee anniversary celebration cakes and BBQs **About the role** The Driver is responsible for the safe loading, securing, delivering and picking up of equipment and machinery. As the Driver, you may support our transport cluster team which services our customers, construction sites and branches within a specified area (cluster of branches) or you may support the "milk-run" which is the utilisation of hire equipment by transferring equipment between branches as required, and by sharing transport deliveries. Drivers are required to provide safe, reliable and friendly transport services and often are required to demonstrate the safe use of equipment. Deliveries and pickups are a key customer touchpoint and must be completed in accordance with Kennards Hire values, standards and procedures. **Responsibilities;** - Safe loading, securing, delivering and picking up equipment to and from our customers, construction sites and branches - Perform equipment loading/unloading and load restraint - Be familiar and flexible across multiple classes of vehicles as the range and type of equipment determines the vehicle requirement. - Proactively engaging with scheduling to complete duties effectively and efficiently - Ensure our customers are briefed on the safe operation of the equipment - Correctly scheduling day to day deliveries and pickups - Perform branch facility cleaning and maintenance as required - Demonstrate team work by working together with others in the business to get the job done - Be fit for work, drug and alcohol free - Driving in a safe, courteous and legal manner **About you** We are looking for an individual who thrives in a close-knit team environment, values exceptional customer service, and demonstrates a strong appetite for learning. You will have; - Previous experience in a customer service role, and a genuine interest in helping others - Understanding of load restraint, mass and dimension principles is essential - A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes - Strong time management skills including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities - Thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility - Strong communication skills including the ability to follow directions, ask questions to ensure understanding, and proactively provide information to team members - A level of physical fitness as required to complete role requirements - A current and valid Driver’s License appropriate for the vehicle to be driven - An interest in mechanics and construction equipment and a desire to learn **Why join the family** We are Australia and New Zealand's largest family-owned equipment hire company and our values are at the heart of everything we do; One Family, Fair Dinkum, Taking Hire Higher & Every Customer a Raving Fan.
