**About the Position**
Anglicare’s Residential Youth Care Services provide care and support to children and young people in a home setting, as an alternative to foster and kinship care and range from immediate response as an option for young people experiencing crisis, to short and long term options for children and young people who require stable care. We offer a number of other youth residential services including supported independent living and bail support.

We provide high quality day to day care for children and young people and to contribute to overall support for recovery from trauma, development of emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem and self-efficacy.

We are looking for a Practitioner - Residential Youth Care based in Gympie
***as part of our Central Region team, to provide case management to children or young people within residential care services or programs. You will also assist to develop participation in positive age-appropriate activities; general physical and emotional wellbeing; engagement in schooling, employment or other training; relevant life skills; and positive connection with family and other significant people.

**About You**
As an experienced Practitioner / Case Manager within the youth and family sector you will have a great attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people, and offer:

- Demonstrated experience in child protection, youth justice or youth work within residential programs
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement with a consistent focus on child safety and wellbeing, following best practice framework procedures.
- Strong and effective case management, including risk and needs assessments
- A background in planning and implementing strategies based on individual needs and behaviours
- Capacity to support and assist youth workers to develop the necessary skills and resilience to be successful
- A highly collaborative and consultative manner, liaising with external stakeholders including Youth Justice
- Highly developed communication skills to support a wide range of key stakeholders

Qualifications and documentation required:

- Current Blue Card
- Current Licenced Care Service (LCS)
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Degree in Health, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or similar field
- Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
- Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours and provide on-call support as required
