We are currently recruiting for a local Government Office that offers a supportive, collaborative culture and a great working environment where staff genuinely care. **About the Role** **Duties**: - Open, disarm and arm security system as required - Open Centre and prepare resources for the day - Greet visitors and answers visitor queries - Ensure visitors follow COVID-19 Protocols that may be in place at the time. - Straighten any artworks as needed - Affix any didactic panels that may have fallen down - Dust the exhibition to keep it pristine condition - Process artwork sales as required following procedure. - Encourage visitors to vote in People's Choice Awards; and visit the Main exhibition on the Foreshore. - Provide directions and tourism recommendations as required. - Direct all Art Centre related enquiries and bookings to the Cultural Development and the Arts team. - Direct all general City related enquiries to the City's Customer Service Team. - Close up centre at end of day, secure all resources and equipment and bring in signage each day - Report an damage to artworks to City staff, or other Centre related issues. - Ensure the Gallery remains neat and clean for visitors **About you**: - Friendly, approachable, and professional - Well-presented, Enthusiastic and Sense of humour - Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to promote sales - Articulate and willing to interact with patrons - Experience in or knowledge of Visual Arts practice - Previous Gallery attendant experience - Point of sale experience **Must be able to work all of the following dates**: - Friday 21 October 9am - 5pm - Saturday 22 October 9am - 5pm - Sunday 23 October 9am - 5pm - Friday 28 October 9am - 5pm - Saturday 29 October 9am - 5pm - Sunday 30 October 9am - 5pm - Friday 4 November 9am - 5pm - Saturday 5 November 9am - 5pm - Sunday 6 November 9am - 5pm If you are interested in the role and fit the criteria. we'd love to hear from you Please click "Apply" and upload an up-to-date CV.
