Stonemason

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpret plans and specifications to determine materials required and installation procedures.
- Cut, shape, and polish stones using both hand tools and machinery.
- Construct walls, pathways, and other structures using stone slabs and masonry blocks.
- Design and create monumental masonry features, including headstone and memorials.
- Repair and maintain existing stone structures, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignment of stonework.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and practices.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Proven experience in stonemasonry or a related field (minimum of 12 months).
- Proficiency in using various stone cutting tools and equipment.
- Stone understanding of different types of stone materials and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision in work.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Commitment to safety practices in a construction environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Pay: $73,150.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability
