**In this role you will**: Administer appropriate assessments to prisonersFunctional assessment of behaviours of concern adversely affecting the adult's quality of life to inform individual management strategiesAnalyse assessment results and record information and utilise assessment information to inform practiceEffectively communicate with prisoners in relation to assessment results and recommendationsDevelop treatment plans where appropriateEnsure maintenance of accurate records and appropriate storage of data relevant to assessments and associated reportsProvide specialist clinical advice to key stakeholders to assist in the case management of prisoners. Provide advice to relevant officers regarding prisoner suitability for programs and/or other interventions.Provide advice and collaborate with service providers to ensure prisoner's needs are met.In complex cases, develop comprehensive plans to encompass interventions and service providers required. Effectively combine knowledge of assessment tools, interventions, supports and environment to inform clinical practice.Work collaboratively with Prison Mental Health Services to assist in the effective management of prisoner's mental health needs.Promote goal setting and enhance willingness to engage in holistic intervention pathwaysDeliver individual or group based brief, skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilienceEnsure prisoner programs and activities are consistent with evidence-based practiceMonitor progress of prisoners during programs and related activities and report on progressComply with program management procedures, standards and guidelinesMaintain own level of knowledge of contemporary offender programs research and practices, and legislation, policy and procedures in relation to offender management.Provide advice regarding the availability of community based services for the continuation of treatment and/or support upon releasePromote general and psychological health and wellbeingFacilitate relevant programs and activities promoting health and wellbeingMaintain knowledge of contemporary practice in relation to health and wellbeing, suicide prevention and anti-bullying.Engage in evidence based practice relevant to the prevention of suicide and self-harm behaviourParticipate in team meetings and other activities within the officeEnsure the safety and security of self and othersEnsure the security and confidentiality of QCS property and information.Manage one's own time efficiently and effectivelyEnsure one's own personal presentation and behaviour are in accordance with the Agency's Code of ConductUndertake any other task as requested by line manager.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
