Technology finance is a specialist team that supports the Group’s technology area with strategic advice, commercial and financial analysis to ensure optimal strategic decision making and operational excellence.

Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team of approximately 90 people and provides financial management, planning and controls services to Group and Business Unit CIOs.

Technology Finance is responsible for the provision of financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division. We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their cost base and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans.

Your team’s primary role is to:

- Provide decision support for Technology’s strategic initiatives, including advice on capitalisation of investments
- Provide accurate forecasting, effective management reporting and financial control for strategic investments
- Deliver meaningful insights to drive better business outcomes, including cost optimisation and process simplification.

You will report to the Senior Manager - Strategic Investments Support, Technology Finance.

Your role is to support the Senior Manager, EM and GM of Technology Finance, the Technology Leadership Team and Group Finance within CBA in making efficient decisions. To deliver on outcomes, you will have extensive dealings across the broader Technology Finance team, as well as Group Finance and the Group Accounting Policy teams.

**Key duties will include**:

- Provide detailed analysis on Portfolio reporting, providing analysis on financials and forecasts, and raising issues to the Technology division, Technology Finance LT & Group Finance
- Monthly investment spend reporting and insight for senior management and Technology Finance LT
- Provide decision support for Technology’s strategic initiatives, including advice on capitalisation of investments
- Assess investment and operational opportunities through the provision of financial advice, modelling and insight
- Assist the business to optimise their project performance and forecasting, including continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying and escalating issues and ensuring appropriate risk management and financial control practices are in place
- Contribute to driving productivity and process improvements across the team’s processes

- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
