- WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The primary purpose of the Youth Ministries Coordinator is to oversee all Youth (yr7-yr12) ministries and facilitate new youth ministries within the Perth Fortress Corps and the community, in line with the mission of The Salvation Army - dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus.

THE ROLE YOU COULD PLAY
- Oversee, develop, support and ensure the delivery of a suite of holistic programs, including providing the coordination of youth-focussed programs (yr7-yr12), and alignment of content and purpose.
- Create opportunities for all youth to be involved in youth ministries.
- Identify and encourage parent engagement in the wider corps community.
- Provide pastoral care to youth and their families in support of the Corps Officer(s).
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Transitional Support Services, local Schools, community groups).
- Assist in creating faith pathways through existing and future youth programs and activities.
- In collaboration with children’s ministries coordinator, develop smooth transitions for children moving into youth.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Significant experience in leading youth ministries
- Minimum Diploma level in youth work, ministry, education, or community services, desirable
- A Working with Children Check is required.
- A national police record check is required.
- Driver’s License.
- Senior Soldier, or willing to be, of The Salvation Army Perth Fortress Corps.
- Completed mandatory Safeguarding training.
