**Hydraulic Fitter**
- Jake’s Hydraulics & General Engineering was established in July 2016 and is set on supplying the Bathurst region with quality and reliable hydraulic and engineering needs.

This role will suit an individual who enjoys workplace variety, including workshop and on-site work. Combining their trade skills and customer service experience with testing, repairing, building and installation of pumps, motors, valves, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hose repairs and maintenance on new and used equipment and machinery.

We seek a hard-working individual with a strong work ethic. This is a fulltime position with normal hours from 7.30am to 4pm with regular overtime and weekend work available.

Trade certifications essential as a fitter and turner, diesel fitter, mechanic or hydraulics fitter. Trade qualified with a high level of hydraulic technical experience.

You will have the following skills:
Previous experience in hydraulic pump overhaul, reconditioning, performance testing, hydraulic cylinders, filtration and hose and fitting assemblies an advantage

Ability to read engineering drawings, circuits and schematics

Experience with MIG/TIG and stick welding is essential.

Hydraulic system component repair, including diagnostic and fault
- finding experience on hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, valves, etc.

Manufacturing & testing of hose & fitting assemblies

Current driver’s licence is essential and MR and above would be an advantage.

Recent experience in the above areas with a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be successful in your job will identify you from the rest. Being able to adapt to the unexpected on a daily basis is a requirement of this position. Availability to work overtime including weekends is essential.
