Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations - predominately in Australia and New Zealand. We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry. We manufacture anything from cardboard boxes, water bottles, jam jars and food and beverage cans, all using recycled content.

**Role Details**:
As the Regional Environmental Manager for our Northern Region (Queensland, NSW, and NZ), you’ll play a pivotal role in engaging our teams and driving environmental leadership. Reporting to the National Environmental Manager, this role can be based in either Sydney or Queensland. The position is responsible for overseeing environmental initiatives across approx. 80 sites, collaborating with teams across all Visy divisions.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead environmental strategies to minimize the impact of Visy’s operations, products, and services.
- Engage and coach teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and foster proactive management practices.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to improve environmental systems and performance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on compliance and risk management.
- Drive training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote sustainability.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Relevant environmental tertiary qualifications (degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent).
- At least five years of experience in an environmental role within a multi-site manufacturing or recycling industry.
- Expertise in environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- A hands-on, practical approach to environmental management and the ability to drive change.
