With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**
An exciting new position has become available due to an increasing demand in our three residential care facilities. GSHS is currently seeking a motivated Ward Clerk to join our team in Residential Care. As a Ward Clerk you will provide ward-based administrative support to a diverse client group and undertake all administrative (non-nursing) tasks as directed by the Nurse Unit Managers.**About You**
Applicants should possess the following experience/qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- High level of computer literacy in both spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated time management skills including ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience in clerical duties which include maintenance of supplies, answering telephones, correlation of files, data collecting.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Well presented with a positive "can-do" attitude, the successful applicant will provide a friendly, courteous and professional point of contact for clinical staff, residents and visitors as well as act as a resource and provide general assistance. You will be required to work independently with mínimal supervision and will have proven competence in organising, co-ordinating and prioritising various administrative activities to ensure efficient operational functioning of the position.- Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check.-
