**About this Role**
Traxion Training is currently seeking suitably qualified Assessors in Cairns, Mackay,
Townsville, or Southeast Queensland (Logan, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane,
Ipswich).
**Applicants must have current experience and possess**:
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set (or its successor)
- TAESS00001 Assessor Skill set plus one of the following:
a. TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools or
b. TAEASS502A Design and Develop Assessment Tools or
c. TAEASS502B Design and Develop Assessment Tools
- A credential issued by a higher education provider, and one of the following
credentials or the successor to one of the following credentials:
a. TAESS00011/TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or
b. TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill
Set.
**Or either of the following are optional**:
- TAE40122 Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or higher TAE qualification)
- TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor) or
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and TAEASS502 (or its successor)
or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B
- Or Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
**Plus at least one of the following**:
- CHC30121 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC30221 - Certificate III in School Based Education Support
- CHC40221 - Certificate IV in School Based Education Support
- CHC50121 - Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC50221 - Diploma of School Age Education and Care
- CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- CHC62015 - Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management
**Job Requirements**:
- Relevant industry knowledge and experience (with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience)
- Knowledge of ASQA, SAS, and Training Package requirements
- Understanding of competency-based training and RPL assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right attitude and personality to build and maintain rapport and trust with students.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to complete documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Highly organised and have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent and adaptable facilitation skills to create an inclusive learning environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Deliver assessment in accordance with ASQA Standards for RTOs
- Monitor student progress and provide support as required.
- Contribute to the development, review, and updating of assessment processes.
- Participate in internal assessment moderations and assessment validations.
- Actively contribute to the organisation's systematic continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain professional development in line with industry standards and RTO requirements.
- Must be willing to conduct on-site direct observations and have a good understanding and working knowledge of assessment practices including RPL.
