**How will I help?**

The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver the financial objectives of the Financial Market (FM) business in partnership with the LOB Managing Director (MD). This role monitors all aspects of financial performance and product control for the LOB to ensure business management and statutory responsibilities are met.

Key members of WIB Finance LT, delivering WIB Finance strategy, leading team culture, developing talent, ensuring WIB Finance is a high performing and value adding function.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive the production of timely, accurate and insightful reports for FM that clearly align financial performance results against target and forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities enabling the business to make optimal decisions in accordance with applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Support FM by building a strong working relationship with the LOB MD, their business leads and other business stakeholders, enabling appropriate challenge with respect to business performance as well as providing actionable insights
- Preparing business cases and engaging in commercial negotiations to ensure all financial considerations are appropriately reflected and business case assumptions are aligned.
- Drive the discussion and resolution of risks and opportunities across FM, including FM’s productivity agenda
- Manage the Financial control environment in line with policy.
- Prudential management of FM balance sheet as delegated by the WIB CFO or allocated by WIB ALCO.
- Monitoring of FM annual investment spend, project benefits and delivery.
- Manage day to day operations of processes within FM value chains to ensure process operational outcomes, productivity targets and reduction in cost to serve are aligned to risk appetite and comply with all relevant obligations.
- Responsible for the operational management of the Prudential return ARF111 in accordance with Prudential Management Policy and if applicable any additional requirements set out in the specific Reporting Standard or Return.

**What do I need?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting with over 10 years post graduate experience.
- CA/CPA qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of Financial Markets balance sheet and profit & loss drivers and performance metrics.
- Builds effective relationships and has a demonstrated background in working with others to achieve outcomes.
- Adaptive influencing and relationship building skills across senior executives and peers.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and superior attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
