The Salvation Army Information Technology Department in Redfern, NSW, are looking for new team members to assist as IT Service Desk Support Assistants. This volunteer role assists with Information Management Analysis.
This forms part of the Information Technology brief to constantly develop, test and monitor IT service delivery at a high standard to The Salvation Army (TSA). It requires liaison with the IT Service management Specialist to develop IT materials and programs for use across The Salvation Army Australia.
This role would suit a student or recent graduate in an IT tertiary field who is looking to gain workplace experience, someone looking to gain workplace competency to return to the workforce or a retiree who wishes to contribute to The Salvation Army. The TSA IT department team are committed to excellence and to providing knowledge and experience to their new team member in an inclusive culture and vast workplace environment.
Tasks include
- Provide level 1 and 2 support via telephone, on-line/remotely or on-site
- Liaise with vendors on behalf of the customers to resolve presented incidents and/or service requests
- Provide access management through appropriate technology such as Windows Server or collaboration systems
- Configure and provide support for infrastructure such as DHCP, Mail Filters, Print Services, Citrix
- Assist with PC, network, data, access management moves when required
- Coordinate tasks with other IT teams and clients

The position is available for a start in December with days and times flexible up to a maximum of 20 hours per week as arranged with Manager.
