**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct private piano and guitar lessons for students of all ages and proficiency levels, with a focus on children aged 8-12.
- Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style, goals, and abilities.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes musical growth and self-confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience at WCMS.
- Actively participate in WCMS community events and social gatherings.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in **piano **_**and **_**guitar** playing and a thorough understanding of music theory.
- Previous experience in tutoring is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage an established student load.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A car and driver's license are preferable for occasional home lessons.

**Availability requirements**:
You will be stepping into an established student load, so it is essential that you are available to work the following shifts as a starting point:

- MONDAY 3:00pm - 6:30pm (ideally extending to 8:30pm)
- TUESDAY 3:00pm - 6:30pm (ideally extending to 8:30pm)

Ideally we would also like to open up the following shift AAP:

- WEDNESDAY: 2:30 - 8:30pm (availability this day is essential)
- THURSDAY 2:30 - 8:30pm
- FRIDAY 2:30 - 8:30pm

**Application Process**:

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
