Payroll Officer required for an exciting long term opportunity working for a leading industry business based in Kewdale.

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for a minimum of 6 months on a temporary basis, with the possibility to become permanent for the right persn. You will be working as part of an established HR team where you will be responsible for running the payroll for approx. 600 employees weekly and monthly.

Duties
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
- Processing starters and leavers
- Amending employee records as required
- Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer's payments for social security, unemployment and worker's compensation
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
- Processing ad hoc payments as required
- Payroll general ledger reconciliations
- Systems - MYOB and XERO
- Ad hoc duties as required

**Requirements**:

- **Required -** Minimum 3 years processing similar sized payroll from end to end
- **Required - **Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ATO requirements, superannuation legislation and workers compensation legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- High standard of interpersonal skills
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to details and accuracy
