- Provide support to the Store Managers in providing adequate pickup and delivery service for the Family Stores and warehouse in line with the Salvation Army mission and values.

About the role

We are seeking Driver to Provide support to the Store Managers in providing adequate pickup and delivery service for the Family Stores and warehouse in line with the Salvation Army mission and values.

You will successfully
- Carry out duties that pertain to pick up and delivery of all donated goods and new products in accordance with written/digital schedule
- Move furniture, goods and clothing, delivered to the Family Store by the public and Family Store vehicles to retail or storage area including warehouse
- Provide Retail Floor and/or Warehouse assistance
- Assist with completing administrative paperwork
- Operate the vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimise the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life and ensure appropriate maintenance/service and cleanliness of vehicle

You will have
- An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- Minimum 1 year experience in driving and/or operating commercial vehicles
- Experience in the recycling/transport industry is desirable
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Current valid Driver’s Licence
- A national police record check is required
- Knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace
- Incumbent needs to have a reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of this position
