**Role Description/Criteria**

The successful applicant will collaborate with the school leadership team to plan strategically to ensure growth occurs in each student’s learning. This will be achieved by using data to identify areas of need and to track progress. The Learning and Teaching Leader will build sustained growth across the school through modelling and providing professional support for teaching staff. They should be a positive role model for staff, striving to create a harmonious work environment.

We are looking for applicants who demonstrate the qualities of a Catholic leader and will be able to support our school to:

- Develop and promote our Catholic identity
- Continue to build positive partnerships with students, families, staff and the wider community
- Address issues in a manner which recognises everyone's human dignity and reflects the Catholic values of mercy, compassion and service
- Support the Principal to develop strategic plans and set annual goals
- Oversee the progress of students requiring adjustments to their learning
- Ensure child safety standards are met

Attached is the Learning & Teaching role description. The Learning & Teaching role is a full time, out of class position and attracts a Position of Leadership Allowance (POL 4). The Position of Leadership will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for two years, with opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school.

**Special Requirements**

The successful applicant should have the following:

- Prior experience in Leadership
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
- VIT Registration
- A postgraduate qualification in the field would be an asset
