Anglicare is seeking an Aboriginal Domestic Family Sexual Violence Specialist to join the core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We particularly focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.
We are seeking a committed and compassionate **Aboriginal Domestic, Family & Sexual Violence Specialist** to join our Integrated Eurobodalla Homelessness Support Service team. in supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence across the Eurobodalla region.
This vital role delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed, and client-centred support tailored to the unique needs of Aboriginal clients. You will work closely with individuals and communities to provide holistic care that promotes healing, safety, and empowerment.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing safety plans
- Providing culturally appropriate court support across the region
- Managing cases and coordinating services to ensure wraparound support
- Advocating for clients' rights and access to appropriate services and resources
This position plays a critical role in ensuring Aboriginal clients receive respectful, effective, and empowering support on their path to safety and wellbeing.
**About You**
The most important attribute you can bring to this role is your engaging, helpful, and friendly nature. You will also need to multitask while remaining professional in all situations, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A willingness to learn and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team are also essential.
For this role, a minimum Diploma of Community Services or an equivalent qualification in the Human Services field is required.
