The Ryde City Missions Coordinator is instrumental in adding value to local mission expressions in the city of Ryde. The role involves consultation with local churches, ministries, Christian business owners, Council, and other stakeholders to develop, support or amplify community activities and programs that meet local needs. And provide equitable and efficient community activities and programs.

You will successfully
- Identify and Communicate community needs to local Community churches and help find new solutions by breaking down silos and finding alignment of vision, purpose and resources across similar organisations
- Set up structures that help develop and implement new ideas, support existing ventures, and amplify the outcomes of current local mission ventures
- Manage the budget
- Develop and manage a communication strategy that focuses on engagement from churches in serving and the residents of Ryde in finding help when needed
- Build relationships with key internal & external stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery, and enhance the collaborative approach and efforts to serving the city
- Engage and connect with all persons coming for help and support with the intention of connecting them to each other and our mission
- Manage/coordinate volunteers - meeting all administration requirements, provision of training and support to volunteers, provision of pastoral care

You will have
- Broad range of experience across a diverse range of Christian environments at leadership and participatory levels such as churches, ministries, and businesses
- Appreciation for different denominations, cultures, and ages
- Experience in volunteer management
- Experience working with different cultures
- Local networks and contacts desirable
- Willing to be flexible with work hours and days e.g. Sunday attendance and flexibility to attend special events that could be on a weekend
- Willing to offer pastoral support and explain the Christian Gospel
- A current and valid Working with Children Check or equivalent
- A current and valid Driver’s Licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
