The Fenwick is currently recruiting for Sommeliers to join our friendly and motivated team.
The Fenwick is open 7 days for lunch and dinner
Some of your main duties will include, but are not limited to the following
- Working with Front and Back of House Managers to develop wine list
- Advising customers on wine pairing with food, occasion and budget
- Assisting Front of House staff, with taking of drink orders and serving guests at the appropriate time
- Responsible for training other restaurant staff on the wine list and food pairing
- Managing restaurant wine cellar
- Certificate III in Hospitality and/or at least 18 - 24 months experience;
- Ability to multi-task, to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure;
- Reliable, punctual and trust worthy;
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene;
- Must work well in a team environment;
- Positive attitude and passion for cooking;
- Sound understanding of HACCP & Food and Safety Regulations & requirements;
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
**Job Type**: Permanent Full-time
Salary Package: $55,000 to $70,000 plus Super depending on qualifications and experience.
