**About the role**

Operating in the safety-focused environment of our Yates site in Wyee, NSW, this is a great chance to join our team as a Maintenance Fitter and ensure our site performs at its peak each day.

As an important member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for mechanical maintenance services across our Yates site, working on machinery such as high-speed conveyors, liquid fillers, palletisers, and case packers.

**This is a permanent afternoon shift position** that will see you working Monday to Friday with the option to work Saturdays with added benefits. The successful applicant will need to be flexible to deal with breakdowns, overtime and weekend work when required.

**Responsibilities**
- Fault finding and repairing breakdowns on machinery
- Supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects
- Assisting in the development of maintenance schedules and planning to increase machine uptime
- Carrying out fabrication work
- Completing preventative maintenance work across the site
- Ordering parts and organising quotes from our suppliers

**Skills & Experience**

This is a busy role, so you will need excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, flexible attitude to succeed. Solid mechanical maintenance experience within the manufacturing industry is key. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and a range of mechanical equipment, coupled with fabrication skills would ensure you hit the ground running.

Other key skills and experience include:

- Experience in Maintenance Fitting or Trade qualification
- Electrical disconnect/reconnect license is a bonus
- Industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Confident to manage work orders within our MEX system
