**Position Information**:
Medowie Public School is a place where students, parents and members of the community value and support each other. The school has a current enrolment of 359 students which includes 14 mainstream K-6 classes and1 multicategorical class. 12% of the total student population identify as Aboriginal and 10% are Defence Force families.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated capacity to balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher with the complex responsibilities of a stage 2/3 leadership role.

2. Proven ability to lead, model and build teacher capability in the implementation of high-quality literacy and numeracy programs using evidence-based assessment and effective data analysis to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

3..Demonstrated capacity to lead whole school wellbeing practices and manage complex learning and behaviour needs, to build a positive and inclusive culture.

4. A highly inspirational and collaborative leader who utilises their strong emotional intelligence to foster positive relationships with staff, students and the wider school community.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
