**Boatbuilder with Fit-Out and Engine Installation Experience**

**Location**: Airlift Hovercraft, Alberton

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Build hovercrafts to specification, including assembly, fit-out, and mechanical systems.
- Carry out detailed interior and exterior fit-outs, ensuring all components are installed to a high standard.
- Install and integrate propulsion systems, including engine installation, alignment, and testing.
- Work from engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the build process to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during fit-out and installation processes.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to refine build processes and ensure project deadlines are met.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in boatbuilding with a focus on **fit-out** and **boat assembly**.
- Strong understanding of hovercraft or similar vessel construction would be an advantage.
- Ability to work with a variety of materials including fiberglass, composites, and metals.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Expertise in marine engine installation, alignment, and testing.
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems within marine vessels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience building builder.
- Familiarity with medium size marine vessel assembly.
