**FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS OFFICER**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

A permanent, part time position is available to join our Events / Admin team.

The role involves sales and administration duties in an office based environment and includes overseeing the execution of weddings and events. You will be involved in seeing through weddings and events from initial enquiry to completion of the event.

A high level of team work with a positive and flexible attitude is required. A strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.

**Hours of work**:
7 or 8 day fortnight. Flexible hours with work rostered across the week with both day and evening shifts providing excellent balance.

**The applicant will have**:

- excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- the ability and confidence to convert an enquiry into a sale/booking
- great time management and prioritising skills
- the ability to multi-task in an organised manner
- good level of mathematical accuracy
- high level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to proof reading
- the ability to follow procedures
- Manual drivers licence
- Hospitality experience
- Positive attitude
- Fit and healthy (lifting involved)

**ROLE WILL INVOLVE**
- heavy focus on accurate administration skills
- follow up enquiries with the aim to convert into a sale/booking
- successfully attend bookings, quotes and follow ups
- liaising with all departments within the company
- cash handling and banking
- oversee functions delivery, set up, service and pack down

**REQUIREMENTS**
- experience in a similar role
- sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- good computer skills, preferably Apple Mac
- hospitality experience in a supervisor or manager role
- current manual driver’s license
- police clearance less than 12 months old

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
