We are currently looking for an Arts Coordinator to support Access Art's programs that meets the needs an artistic aspiration of our clients. This role is responsible for coordinating resources, staff, projects and programs under the supervision of the Arts Manager and supporting clients in their artistic development.
**About the role**
This role will be responsible for:
- Leading and assist in delivering artistic and creative workshops that align with clients’ individual goals and aspirations.
- Support clients in achieving a valued lifestyle within the community by ensuring access to appropriate artistic opportunities.
- Ensure workshops and programs are well-resourced in collaboration with the manager.
- Serve as the main contact for clients and staff.
- Participate in recruiting, selecting, and matching staff to clients, in coordination with management and client needs.
- Facilitate ongoing opportunities for clients to develop their skills, interests, and talents within the programs.
- Engage with community groups, organisations, and individuals to encourage clients' active community participation, with oversight from the manager.
- Provide timely information, reporting, and updates as required.
- Lead regular staff and client meetings, providing a point of reference for problem-solving when needed.
**Selection Criteria**
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor of Performing Arts (or equivalent) or substantial experience in arts practice.
- Ability to deliver or assist in delivering arts-based workshops to groups of people who experience disability, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve program goals and deliver results.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills around disability awareness.
This role will also be required to have:
- Working with children and NDIS Worker Screening clearances (we can help)
- Covid-19 vaccinations.
