**About the Role**:
Our school has extensive opportunities for students to accelerate their learning. In the Mathematics and Engineering department, the Head of Department will lead several of these programs and incorporate broad-ranging enrichment activities that expose students to mathematically orientated pathways.
The Head of Department - Mathematics and Engineering will be an agile leader with a record of success in leading school improvement. You will be focused on meeting the needs of each student and developing future problem-solvers, students with decision-making agility and risk-taking skills as they move into the future with confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
