Receptionist Position in a General Practice

The key duties and responsibilities will include:
Reliable friendly attitude

Greet patients

Register patients according to established procedures and protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documents
- Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
- Inform patients of medical practice procedures and policy
- Maintain and manage patient records if/as required
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
- Transfer calls as required
- Schedule patient appointments
- Attend to patient billing using the procedure/practice and software at the practice.

Collect payments and/or process Medicare,DVA and other receipts
- Report statistics as required
- Schedule any tests, scans and other outside appointments for patients
- Obtain external medical or other reports as required by medical staff
- Respond and comply with requests for information
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned and required
- Undertake other reasonable duties and tasks directed by Clinical staff, practice manager.

Ensure that the reception area is well maintained, neat and clean at all times
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Required experience : 1-2 years Receptionist experience in Occupational Health Clinic and General Practice

**Salary**: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Torrensville SA 5031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
