The primary purpose of this position is to provide high quality services to clients with disabilities and their families/carers. The primary function of the Support Worker is to support people with a disability to achieve their individual goals and objectives in accordance with their Individual Care Plan. In addition, Support Workers must meet the individual needs of people with a disability, for the purpose of improving the quality of life through enhancing and maintaining daily living skills, social image and assisting with their physical well-being. Also Support Workers, support people with a disability to integrate into the wider community.

You will be providing support including:
Daily life activities

Community participation and transport

General domestic tasks

Assistance with shopping

Superannuation 10.5 %,

QLeave (long service leave)

**Successful Applicants will require**:
Current QLD driver’s license and Reliable car

A satisfactory National Police check or willingness to obtain

First aid or willingness to obtain

Yellow Card/ NDIS Clearing or willingness to obtain

Certificate 3 in Disability support or similar (desirable)

Effective English literacy skills

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, mostly school hours

Great communication skills and ability to connect with client’s

Applicant must be physically fit to be able to provide a range of domestic tasks
