Your role at St John of God Burwood Hospital
- We have a new opportunity for an experienced OH&S professional to join Burwood Hospital as Manager OH&S & Injury Management, permanent part time (0.6FTE).- The purpose of this position is to Identify, develop and deliver high quality health and wellness strategies and initiatives within the division in order to facilitate the organisation’s objectives of minimising the risk of injury and illness to caregivers to become an employer of choice within the health industry community.- The purpose of this position is to identify, develop and deliver high quality health and wellness strategies and initiatives within the division in order to facilitate the organisation’s objectives of minimising the risk of injury and illness to caregivers to become an employer of choice within the health industry community.- The Position-
- Deliver the organisation’s OHS strategic initiatives and programs and measure outcomes against key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Foster and promote a safety culture at the division through the development and delivery of local strategic injury prevention and wellness programs to achieve identified performance measures and sustainable caregiver engagement.
- Ensure Divisional compliance with OHS legislative compliance framework and effective risk management systems are in place across the Division.
- Deliver training in OHS, Incident notification and reporting with managers at the division.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a high profile for the SJGHC OHS function, through implementing quality incident reporting, incident investigation processes and data consolidation/analysis.
- Coach and educate managers, supervisors and caregivers in understanding and carrying out their important role of ensuring their duty of care and other legislative requirements are met in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.- You will have industry experience in workplace based early intervention programs, rehabilitation and claims management, detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary OHS legislation and practice including risk assessment, hazard identification, assessment and control of workplace OHS inspections, audits and incident investigations.- Successful applicants will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field. Qualifications in Lead Auditing and experience implementing Australian Standard 4801 will be highly regarded.- You will support and implement St John of God Health Care’s occupational health and safety strategy that seeks to promote a safety-oriented workplace culture.- We can offer you-
- $119,000 to $165,000 cash (pro-rata for part time)
- Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:Novated leasing
