We are looking for experienced and empathetic Disability Support Workers to join our team to continue to empower Participants' independence and help them achieve their goals.

**Location**

We are specifically looking for staff in Illawarra Region.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a variety of disabilities, with a key focus in psychosocial and high behavioral disabilities, in their daily lives and promoting their active participation in the community.

**What You'll Be Doing**

The position will support the implementation and delivery of service supports for people living with a variety of disabilities, with a key focus in psychosocial and or intellectual disabilities within the NDIS framework. This framework requires that services demonstrate a culture and language of collaboration, inclusion and optimism, be person centred and holistic, support personal development, contribute to a workforce and organisational culture that is conducive to capacity building and make active choices regarding social inclusion and independence.

Disability Support Workers will use their lived experience and work collaboratively with other FCHC staff to support and advocate for people living with disability, their families and support people through purposeful sharing of their lived experience, inspiring hope that independence is possible for all, modelling hope and wellbeing strategies that support their presenting needs and challenging stigma associated with Disability.

Disability Support Workers will receive appropriate training, supervision and support to carry out their roles.

**Selection Criteria**
- Female
- Require ABN
- Qualifications in Disability, Aged Care, Human Services or relevant field or relevant Certificate III.
- Excellent administration skills at least 2 years experience in Disability related field as recognised by FCHC.
- Demonstrated experience working with people with disability, specifically psychosocial and or intellectual and supporting them to access and utilise the NDIS.
- Australian Driver's License
- Availability on a 24/7 roster
- NDIS Check
- WWC Check
- Police Check

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 38 per week
