Job description

**Superior Home Health Services** are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Home and Community **Personal Care Workers** to join our team in the **North Brisbane (North Lakes)** and **Moreton Bay Region.** You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
- Providing support with social and recreational activities;
- Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
- Responding to emergency situations; and
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Medication Assistance (desirable)
- A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)

**Preferred Skills**

Medication Competency preferred

Experience working with Aged clients in a home setting

Experience working with persons living with a disability

Experience working with clients rehabilitating at home after surgery/accident

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All care workers take extra precautions with PPE use and cleaning routines of high-touch surfaces. PPE and First Aid Kits provided.
