As a SAMI Consultant in Nuclear Medicine, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, contributing to exceptional patient-centred care. This role is central to ensuring the provision of nuclear medicine and bone densitometry services while fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, teaching, and research. You will work alongside a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to advancing clinical excellence and improving outcomes for patients.

In this leadership position, you will inspire and guide clinical staff, supervise and educate nuclear medicine and radiology trainees, and contribute to the development of future medical professionals. Your commitment to quality improvement and active participation in quality assurance initiatives will be pivotal in maintaining safe, effective, and efficient care. Additionally, you will represent SAMI in key meetings, collaborate with clinicians on service provision, and support the seamless integration of diagnostic services across various SAMI locations. **About You**

We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who is ready to make a difference in Nuclear Medicine services. To excel in this role, you’ll bring a combination of advanced qualifications, clinical expertise, and leadership abilities to provide exceptional care and inspire a collaborative, patient-centred approach.
- **Qualifications and Experience**: Hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, along with specialist qualifications registrable with the Medical Board of Australia. Demonstrated experience and expertise in paediatric and women’s nuclear medicine are essential.
- **Leadership and Teaching Skills**: Proven ability to lead and supervise medical teams, teach and mentor trainees, and inspire a high standard of professional practice. Experience in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives is highly valued.
- **Personal Abilities**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and manage conflict effectively. A commitment to high personal standards, continuous education, and adaptability to change are key.
