The Behaviour Support Practitioner will report to the Director and will be responsible for the following: - Undertake and write Functional Behaviour Assessments - Develop, write and review Positive Behaivour Support Plans (Interim Behaviour Support Plans and/or Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans) in collaboration with people with a disability, family, carers, support workers, allied health providers, decision makers and other stakeholders - Train, monitor and support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans - Report and meet Restrictive Practice Requirements - Develop and maintain relationships with key implementers and stakeholders - Complete client notes and other required documentation to ensure compliance - Successful applicants must have/be:_ - An Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Psychology/behavioural sciences/Occupational Therapy/Speech and Language Pathology/Social Work or relevant experience in Behaviour Support and registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner - Experience working with or supporting people with a disability - Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) - Excellent verbal and written communication - Organised and able to meet deadlines - Ability to follow legislative requirements - Hold a Driver’s Licence, and have a car and be able to travel to clients - Able to meet NDIS Worker’s Screening Check requirements - Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 - Able to gain Core registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework - Ongoing commitment to professional development - Desired:_ - Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner/writing/developing/implementing Functional Behaviour Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans - Post-graduate degree in Psychology/Occupational Therapy/Speech and Language Pathology/Social Work - Training or qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support - Registration with AHPRA or other professional body as a Provisional Psychologist/Psychologist/Speech and Language Pathologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist or ability to gain registration - What we offer:_ - Flexible work hours - Professional Development Allowance - Laptop and work phone included as well as travel/fuel allowance - Flexible location - work from home, our office, or a combination - Regular supervision for Behaviour Support Practitioners (including primary or secondary supervision for Provisional Psychologists) LEA123 - Job Classification- Jobs Classification -> Allied Health -> Behavioural Health- Job Location (Area or Region)- Job Location ( Area or Region ) -> Australia -> QLD- Job Type- Job Type -> Permanent -> Full Time- Business Type- Allied Health Practice- Job Title- Behaviour Support Practitioner
