JETWAVE MARINE SERVICES PTY LTD are based in Fremantle looking for full time divers to enhance their commercial diving teams.

**Qualifications**

You must hold a current ADAS License

**Experience**

At least 1 years’ experience

**Tasks**

Inspection:

- Inspecting and repairing underwater infrastructure. After using High Pressure (HP) water jetting technology, hydraulic tooling or pneumatic tooling to remove marine bio-fouling,
- Conduct general visual inspection (GVI), close visual inspection
- (CVI) and non-destructive testing (ultrasonic thickness testing, cathodic potential testing, etc) of marine assets.
- Identify defects to the underwater asset and be responsible for conducting the repairs or coordinating the necessary maintenance work. For example:

- UWILD (Underwater Inspection In Lieu Of Dry Docking): Vessel de-fouling to inspect the cooling intakes, hull structural condition and running gear (propeller, thrusters, rudder)of iron-ore bulk carriers, LPG gas tankers and crude oil tankers.
- Cyclone mooring inspections: Remove marine bio-fouling and inspect mooring components and conducting the necessary repairs to ensure vessels will be safe during a cyclone weather event.
- Facility support pile inspections: remove marine bio-fouling, visual and non-destructive testing (eg: ultrasonic thickness testing, cathodic potential testing). Eg: Offshore platforms, Port Authorities, navigational aids, defense infrastructure.
- Invasive Marine Species (IMS) inspection: Inspect vessels for marine pests to ensure the safety of Australia’s marine environment.

Construction and maintenance:

- construction and maintenance projects in underwater environments.
- responsible for tasks such as welding, cutting, assembling underwater structures, installing or repairing underwater pipelines, and conducting inspections to identify and repair any structural issues.
- Salvage and recovery operations:

- In cases of maritime incidents, involved in the salvage and recovery operations.
- identify lifting points and attach the rigging and lifting equipment to the submerged object, conduct underwater surveys to assess the situation, and assist in the recovery process by securing or moving objects underwater.

Underwater Welding and Cutting:
underwater welding and cutting (oxy-arc ultrathermic cutting) techniques, weld or cut underwater structures or pipelines, using specialised equipment and following extremely strict safety procedures to ensure the integrity of the work and the overall safety of personnel involved in the operation.

Documentation and reporting:
documenting the work and providing detailed reports. This includes recording inspection findings on Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s), capturing underwater images and video, documenting repair and construction progress, and ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of activities.

Safety and Compliance:

- Prioritise safety and adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations, including Standards Australia, IMCA and DMAC.
- Required knowledgeable in regards to dive planning, decompression procedures, emergency procedures, and the safe use of diving equipment.
- Required to take part in safety meetings, toolbox meetings and safety committee meetings to ensure a safe working environment.

Equipment Maintenance:
Responsible for maintaining and inspecting diving equipment. This includes daily checks of diving hats and breathing apparatus, suits, harnesses, plant, and specilised tooling. All faults must be addressed promptly to ensure the safety of all personnel.

**Responsibilities**
- Inspect and maintains diving equipment, such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses, and gauges.
- Ensures appropriate safety measures are taken; monitors dive lengths and depths.
- responsible for your own safety and other divers in your team
- responsible for upkeeping knowledge on:

- diving physics
- using, inspecting and maintaining diving equipment (including emergency equipment) and the air supply they’ll be using
- decompression tables or dive computers
- dive planning
- ways of communicating with others in the water and on the surface
- safely doing the proposed general diving work
- diving physiology, emergency procedures and first aid.
