Additional Information:
- This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight
- The internal job title is Sales Coordinator
- The availability required to work will be spread between 8:00am to 10:00pm, weekdays and alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
**About this work area**As Retail Supervisor your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and supervising daily operations of the Self Serve team to ensure efficient, safe, and customer-focused fulfilment processes.
- Supporting both planning and hands-on execution of key tasks, such as condensing stock, restocking products, unloading pallets, and recycling materials.
- Providing feedback on team performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to drive commercial outcomes and operational excellence.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and SOPs.
- Managing inventory systems to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the Self Serve warehouse is well-stocked, tidy, and presentable.
- Facilitate onboarding training and on the floor co-worker support to secure competence and the achievement of learning goals within the department.
- Sharing specialist knowledge of IKEA’s product range, services, and tools to strengthen team capability, while showing initiative in taking on added responsibilities.
As Retail Supervisor you have:
- Able to deliver exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive and positive co-worker experience.
- Enthusiastic about teamwork and motivating people, with prior experience supporting the daily operations, coordinating breaks, and delegating tasks.
- A strong advocate for a safe working environment, ensuring that hazards are identified and removed.
- Excellent communication skills, being able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure smooth store operations.
- A detail-oriented person who takes a meticulous approach to tasks and processes to enhance the reliability of the function.
- Energised by continuous learning and personal growth, with a 'renew and improve' mindset that embraces change, and drives ongoing improvement.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn relevant IKEA IT systems, solutions, and tools.
