**About the Role**

Deliver internal audits and related deliverables in accordance with audit methodology and procedural requirements. Work with various stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure that there are no surprises.

**Duties**

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an **Internal Audit Manager** you will:

- Assist Senior Audit Manager and Head of Audit Portfolio in delivering fit for purpose outcome on audit and non-audit related activities.
- In relation to audit related activities, ensure that the right quality outcome is achieved. This may involve working directly with the business or working with co-source service providers to achieve the right outcome.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including management and co-source service providers. Ensure deliverables/requirements are clearly articulated and potential variances promptly identified and addressed and escalate potential delays to ensure efficiency.
- Review work performed by co-source service providers to ensure quality and efficient delivery and alignment with audit objectives.
- Follow up and monitor reviews on remediation actions to ensure they have been effectively addressed.
- Contribute to and develop documentation that formalises the internal audit framework for icare.
- Where applicable, contribute to activities relating to internal investigations.
- Contribute to the development of the annual risk-based audit plan, to ensure the plan is relevant to the needs of the business and the outcomes are integrated into the plan.
- Prepare documentation and reports, which are factually accurate, insightful and enhance the effectiveness and reputation of the audit team.
- Foster internal and external relationships to ensure effective engagement with Internal Audit Unit processes and the icare business model.
- Continuously improve and build on processes both within the Internal Audit Unit and the areas being audited.

***Skills & Experience**
- A broad range of experience in the insurance / financial services industry or government sector.
- Internal / external audit experience from an established organisation
