**About the role**:
As a member of the Alinta Energy Retail Markets group, the Billing / Operation Consultant role is dedicated to ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of our SME and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers as well as the identification of inaccurate contractual charges. Attention to detail and accuracy of data is critical to ensure optimal customer experience and service provided and aligned with Alinta Energy’s goals and values.

Reporting to the C&I Billing Manager, this 12-month contract role requires someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team, is looking for growth and development within the energy industry and has a positive, can-do attitude

**Duties**:

- Process account setup & maintenance tasks for the gas and electricity customer portfolio
- Ensure high level accuracy and timely billing for commercial and industrial sites as well as adjustments to invoices and statements
- Interact with internal and external customers to resolve any billing issues and answer inquiries
- Investigate, manage, and resolve complex Billing/Account enquiries whilst liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution is achieved
- Provide daily statics to key operational resources working within the function

**Skills and experience**:

- Medium to advanced Excel skills (essential) / knowledge of Gentrack (desirable)
- Great team player who loves working in a collaborative environment
- Exposure to invoices and billing would be advantageous
- Genuine interest to work in the energy sector
- Approachable, motivated and a positive attitude
