**About the OPPORTUNITY**:
We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician (level 2) to join our Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO). Reporting to the NDT Team Leader, you will be responsible for the completion of Non-Destructive Testing maintenance tasks on aeronautical products including the Hawk Lead-In Fighter (LIF) and F35 Aircraft.
**Key RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Conduct NDT of Hawk and F35 aircraft and aircraft components
- Work in accordance with approved data and technical authorisations
- Complete NDT reports to a high level of technical detail,
- Perform Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Testing
- Routinely interpret and analyse outputs from NDT digital flaw detectors
- Liaise with the appropriate engineers and maintenance staff
- Undertake specific additional training in new NDT methods and technologies
- Comply with all safety procedures and legislation associated with NDT
- Assist the NDT Responsible Level 3 in the development of NDT procedures
- Maintenance and calibration on workshops, facilities and equipment
**About YOU**:
- Aviation trade qualification; Cert IV Aeroskills or equivalent (mandatory)
- Qualified Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing technician in accordance with EN 4179 or equivalent (mandatory)
- Experience with Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Test methods (Radiographic Test experience not essential)
- Demonstrated experience performing aircraft maintenance and NDT
- Complete annual/five yearly practical/theoretical examination/assessment.
- Experience with developing new technical procedures
- Experience with risk management systems and completing risk assessments.
