**Surf & Ocean Activity Facilitator - Make a Real Impact Through the Power of the Ocean**

**Job Type**: Part-time | 15-20+ hours/week with flexible hours to meet your lifestyle

TSS (The Surf Shuttle) is looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our small, dedicated team as a **Surf & Ocean Activity Facilitator**. This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to share your love of the beach lifestyle while providing support and fostering a love and connection to the ocean for our customers.

About TSS

TSS exists to make the ocean accessible and enjoyable for _everyone_. Our mission is to help kids and adults — including those with cognitive or mental health challenges — experience the joy, confidence, and therapeutic benefits that come from time in the surf. For the past four years, we’ve been offering daily surf shuttles to the beach, inclusive surf sessions, ocean-based mentorship.

We're after someone who is:

- **Experienced and risk aware in the surf** - confident in ocean safety, conditions, and creating fun, inclusive sessions.
- **Empathetic and people-focused** - has worked with children and/or people with disabilities, and thrives on connection.
- **A natural leader** - proactive, responsible, and always looking to bring value to the team.
- **Communicative and reliable** - strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to transparency, trust, and professionalism.

What Your Days Will Look Like
- Transporting small groups of 4-7 kids to the beach
- Choosing the best surf spots based on daily conditions
- Facilitating fun, safe, and therapeutic surf sessions early mornings and afternoons
- Providing private nature-based surf therapy for adults on the autism spectrum or with mental health challenges during the middle of the day

You’ll work across the Lower Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore — and be part of a mission that’s changing lives, one wave at a time.

**Requirements**:

- Strong surf and ocean skills
- Min. 1 year experience working with children or people with disabilities
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Full driver’s license + clean record
- Your own vehicle
- Must have afternoon availability for minimum 3 days per week

Bonus (But Not Essential)
- Surf instructor accreditation
- Local knowledge of the Northern Beaches / North Shore
- own a 5-8 seater vehicle

Pay & Perks
- $30-$35/hour (depending on experience)
- $42+/hour on weekends
- Fuel and travel allowance

- Getting paid to go surfing

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
